Reichert-Burner a tight race according to analysts
Yet another national congressional ranking site has acknowledged the competitive nature of Washington's 8th District race between Rep. Dave Reichert (R-Auburn) and challenger Darcy Burner (D-Carnation). This time it is the left-leaning Swing State Project, who just yesterday moved the race from its "Lean R" category to a "Tossup", one of twelve in the country in that category. (PolitickerWA)

Olympia activist gets county billing records
OLYMPIA -- Attorneys for Thurston County have handed over more than 300 pages of their billing records to Olympia activist Arthur West. The delivery was the result of a June Court of Appeals ruling that said West had the right to inspect attorney invoices, including notes on the nature of the charges, under newly strengthened state Public Records Act provisions.
