Larsen to Kick Off Re-Election Campaign with Events across 2nd District
Everett, WA - U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen (WA-02) will kick off his campaign for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives next week with events in Island, Skagit, Snohomish, San Juan and Whatcom Counties. Larsen is running for re-election to a fifth term as U.S. Representative for Washington state's 2nd Congressional District.
"It is a privilege to represent the district that my family has called home for the past 106 years," said Larsen. "I have worked hard to represent local communities in Congress and build a record of accomplishments for the 2nd District."
During his time in Congress, Larsen has made the economy job number one and helped strengthen federal investments in local initiatives to create jobs. He has worked to protect families from unsafe food and products, helping open China to FDA inspectors. He has advocated for Northwest Washington veterans traveling too far and too long to get the health care they need, and successfully worked to open a VA community-based outpatient clinic in Northwest Washington. Larsen has worked to pass a GI Bill for Life to help more veterans get the education they have earned so they can secure good-paying jobs in our 21st century economy. And he helped pass legislation that will help make college more affordable for tens of thousands of Washington state students at no new cost to U.S. taxpayers.
Larsen serves on the Armed Services Committee, the Small Business Committee, and the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
