Rossi creates fact check website

State Sen. Dino Rossi: Campaign PhotoState Sen. Dino Rossi: Campaign PhotoDino Rossi has launched a new segment on his website called factcheck.dinorossi.com, which bills itself with reporting "The truth behind the ads attacking Dino Rossi."

"The 2008 Washington governor's race is extremely competitive," the site says. "The incumbent governor and her political allies are attempting to distort Rossi's record on the issues in order to keep control of the governor's mansion."

Specifically, it sets out to clarify Rossi's record as a state senator on health care, public safety, education and the 2003 budget, all are issues that he has taken heat for in recent attack ads by the 527 group Evergreen Progress.

Yes, Really

Daniel K: if you have any problems with any of the claims, feel free to rebut them. Otherwise you are engaging in ad hominem. The point is facts, not personalities.

Oh, and is it worth pointing out that your criticism of his site would have more weight if it didn't come from an avowed Democrat? Naaaaaaah. :-)

Really?

This really isn't a new site, it is simply a section within Dino Rossi's own site. It would have more weight if it wasn't associated with the candidate himself. Do we really expect him to present an unbiased accounting of the facts given his ongoing distortion of them?
