Larsen up with first radio ad

Rep. Rick LarsenRep. Rick LarsenRep. Rick Larsen (D-Arlington), the four-term incumbent from Northwest Washington's 2nd Congressional District, began airing his first campaign ads on the radio Monday on stations throughout the district. The spot highlights Larsen's work in expanding health care access for veterans, notably the opening of clinics in Mt. Vernon and Sedro Woolley.

Larsen is being challenged by former Snohomish County Sheriff Rick Bart (R-Arlington), who has yet to advertise and whose campaign was in debt as of the latest filing period at the end of June.

Narrator: "One Congressman is looking out for our veterans."

"Rick Larsen."

"When local vets told Larsen they were driving all the way to Seattle to get basic health care...he went to work."

"Fighting side-by-side with them to open the FIRST outpatient clinic for veterans in Northwest Washington."

Rick Larsen: "This is Rick Larsen. Our veterans have fought to defend our country and our freedom around the world - they shouldn't have to travel to Seattle to get the health care they deserve. It's why I worked to bring veterans health care closer to our veterans."

Narrator: "That's the kind of leadership we've come to expect from Rick Larsen - the temporary clinic in Sedro-Woolley and a permanent veterans clinic opening in Mt. Vernon next summer."

Rick Larsen: "I'm Rick Larsen, and I approve this message because the men & women who have served our country deserve a government that keeps its promises."

Narrator: "Paid for by Larsen for Congress."
