DENVER - After bouncing back and forth Monday and Tuesday between national and local political celebrities, Wednesday's delegate breakfast is taking advantage of the urgency of the end of the week to highlight both.
Those delegates and guests who were brave enough to stomach the 6 AM wake-up call will have the privilege of hearing the diverse voices of Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, who was the keynote speaker at this year's state Democratic convention, New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin and Service Employees International Union Executive Director Eliseo Medina.
Later on in the morning, Congressmen Brian Baird and Jim McDermott will address the crowd, along with Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon and Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels.

Ray Nagin
Dear Mr. Bissell,
While we believe Mr. Nagin has no real leadership skills and find him generally to be of no value in even the most mundane daily management of our city, we do, albeit regretfully, still pay him a salary.
If you see him at the democratic convention, could you please ask him to call home. Currently there’s a large hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico and although we know he can’t find his own behind and to date has accomplished not one darn iota of rebuilding (though he has spent a good deal of the Federal monies traveling), it would be nice to have someone to hang in effigy after the next flood.
If our mayor is busy having breakfast or drinks with Ben Affleck or Charlize Theron, please don’t interrupt him. It's understood that his obsessiion with media attention is akin to Paris Hilton, another famewhore famous for DOING NOTHING.
Soooo, as we’ve been waiting for leadership for 4 years, a few more hours won’t matter much at this point. However, it may look better to the national media if he is town for a change.
Thank You,
Kate
New Orleans
PS: If you see his friend Congressman Jefferson, please give him this meassage, the Feds have postponed sentencing AGAIN.
