UPDATED: Burner heads to DC to present plan for Iraq

Democrat Darcy Burner, who is challenging Republican Congressman Dave Reichert for his District 8 seat, is set to unveil a plan outlining how Congress should deal with Iraq, campaign spokesman Sandeep Kaushik says.

Burner will present the plan in Washington, DC on Monday. Burner will be joined by fellow Democratic congressional candidates Donna Edwards of Maryland, Chellie Pingree of Maine, Jared Polis of Colorado, and Eric Massa of New York.

Kaushik says the candidates are presenting the plan with an eye towards attracting grassroots support.

UPDATE:

Kushik also confirms that Burner will be holding a small dollar fundraiser in Washington on Tuesday evening. The event will aimed at the activist community.
