Dicks May See Primary Challenger in Atty. Paul Richmond

The Kitsap Caucus Blog is reporting that Port Townsed Attorney Paul Richmond is considering a run for congress in the 6th District against long time incumbent Norm Dicks.

Richmond seems most interested in restoring personal liberties, reigning in defense spending and taking care of veterans.

"I'm really concerned that we have Democrats that are essentially to the right of where Richard Nixon was in the sixties and seventies," he told the Caucus blog. "I think on a national scale just way too many of our resources are going to the military industrial complex, which is basically Norm's baby."

Richmond has not yet filed with the Federal Election Commission, and the Politicker has a call out to him. Rep. Dicks  currently has just over a half million dollars on hand in his campaign account.
