TCH's Mulick has a story today about Governor Chris Gregoire's fundraising during the post-legislative session signing period. Back on March 13, Gregoire announced that she would not actively raise money during the 30-day bill signing period to avoid conflicts of interest.
While that is technically true, the articles points out that in the last week Gregoire has brought in over $53,000. "If checks come in the mail, we're not going to be sending them back," Gregoire communication director Debra Carnes said.
The catch? Her campaign is not telling her about it. "We've created our own firewall," said Carnes.
Dino Rossi, on the other hand, has been able to raise more than a million dollars since Gregoire's finance freeze began in mid-Decemnber.
How many videos do the Democrats have to make showing yet another Dino Rossi event that is closed to the public? At least one more. >
