Washington State Nurses Association and Local Business Leader Endorse Ken Henderson for Senate
Bellingham-The Washington State Nurses Association-PAC chose Ken Henderson as their endorsed candidate in the 40th LD senate race. Henderson was awarded the endorsement based on his performance in the WSNA-PAC 2008 Health I.Q. Candidate Evaluation Process. This endorsement articulates clearly that Ken Henderson has a strong commitment to health care, nursing and quality patient care. As an optometrist for over 25 years Henderson gained an in-depth understanding of the health care system, which will serve as a unique and valuable tool while working in the senate to make quality health care more accessible and less expensive.
After careful consideration of the candidates in the 40th LD Senate race, well respected business man and environmentalist, Rud Browne- Founder & Chairman-The Ryzex Group, endorsed Democratic candidate Ken Henderson.
“I believe that Ken Henderson's direct personal experience in social projects, environmental issues and business makes Ken the best candidate to represent the broad community interests of the 40th District.”
-Rud Browne, Businessman and Environmentalist
Ken Henderson’s senate campaign wishes to thank the broad community support that it has received from citizens, activists, business owners, patients, teachers, friends, family, students, environmentalists, health care professionals, civic leaders, colleagues, and all those with so many other titles. A special thanks goes out to Harriet Spanel for all the wonderful work that she has accomplished throughout her long term of excellence in service to the 40th District. Thanks is also due to the great slate of candidates that have stepped up to try to fill Spanel’s shoes in the Washington State Senate.
