Lindauer, Easter Bunny raise money in LD6

It may not be Karl Rove or Laura Bush, but Mel Lindauer (R-Spokane) is doing his best to bring in the bucks for his run at Democrat Don Barlow's 6th District seat. What he lacks in fame, Lindauer more than makes up in festivity. His campaign has organized a $10-a-basket Easter Egg Hunt fundraiser this Saturday, March 22 in Spokane. The event will also have "Bunny Bucks" for use at activity stations and to buy refreshments. Chris Mulick, who tipped us off, gives a good take.

"But get this. If you preorder your Bunny Bucks you'll get 12 for the price of 10. Talk about value. How can you not jump on that?

According to the schedule the Easter Bunny himself will show about noon. That's a real coup for the campaign because as we all know the Eastern Bunny really should be resting up for Sunday."
