State Rep. Geoff SimpsonGoldy at HA Seattle is reporting that 47th LD Rep. Geoff Simpson (D-Covington) has been arrested on domestic violence charges stemming from an argument with his separated wife.
Simpson, a Kent firefighter who was served in the legislature since 2001, was the Washington State Council of Police and Sheriffs Legislator of the Year in 2003, and won re-election in 2006 with almost 60 percent of the vote.
"I don't want to vote for a rock star. I want somebody who is going to take care of the issues."
