According to Governor Chris Gregoire, local tribes are Indian givers. Just like every other lobbyist and special interest, the tribes get to pay to play in local politics. Just like every other lobbyist and special interest, they just might get something back.
According to the Everett Herald, both Obama and McCain have already made big promises to Native American tribes.
According to President George W. Bush, tribes are sovereign nations. But he still doesn’t know what that means.
According to Wally Edge, your chances of winning at politics are better than your chances of winning at slots.
