Dino Rossi has an interesting sports record.
He bought a share of the minor league Everett AquaSox - not to support the community and not because he likes sports, but in order to gain access to season ticket holders' personal information and use it for campaign fundraising.
Needless to say, some of those season ticket holders were not pleased to find themselves on Dino's personal fundraising list.
Now he's looking to expand.
He was against taxpayer funding for a new Seahawks stadium, but now he's for taxpayer funding of a new Sonics stadium. Or maybe he's just against Governor Chris Gregoire being against taxpayer funding for a Sonics stadium.
Either way, we know that if the Sonics stay, you can count on Rossi to take credit, and find some way to take the personal information from season ticket holders all the way to the bank. Whether you want him to or not. It gives new meaning to "taxpayer financing," doesn't it.
We think that's not playing fair.

Dino not a baseball fan?
Just curious, wasn't it already determined Dino personally didn't know the list was being used, but it was his staff that messed up? This accusation seems a bit trite, that's all.
Also, I had the pleasure of sitting with Dino at a fundraiser once, and we actually did chat baseball for a few moments (back when the Mariners could actually win games). He's a bigger baseball fan than you would imagine, which makes me doubt highly that he would buy part of a baseball team just for access to their fundraising list.
