Best state to do business
Maybe Mr. Edge needs to read the Washington Policy Center's commentary by Paul Guppy on this subject. It was printed in the July 4 edition of Puget Sound Business Journal and can be found on the Washingtonpolicy.org site. Just look under opinions, and select Washington is all over the map in business-friendliness. I agree wholeheartedly with Mike S. Basically how can our state rank so well overall and yet be ranked so low in "business costs," "economic" climate, and "quality of life," and still be ranked 3rd??? Read Guppy's commentary and you'll understand how these rankings happen, and find out the real truth.
How is it then that
How is it then that Washington State has the 3rd highest business failure rate in the nation?
Also the largest Business & Occupation Tax in the country?
Also the 3rd highest workers comp payout in the country?
Did Forbes not do their homework? Someone please expain.
