Lieutenant governor: the quest for second best
By Wally EdgeWith all of the punches flying in the governors race, we have been remiss in covering the second in command.
That's right, we looked at our (easy, wonderful, convenient) vote-by-mail ballot yesterday and realized that there was a race on for lieutenant governor. Not only that, but we realized that there is, in fact, a lieutenant governor, and his name is Brad Owen.
Who knew.
Now the question is, what, pray tell, does the lieutenant governor do - besides collect the governor's salary when she's out of town.
